LOA football racks up postseason awards

The Lake Oconee Academy football team recently had several players earn postseason honors.The Titans had 12 players named to the Class A Division II Region 8 All-Region team.LOA head coach Patrick Stewart said he was proud of those players.

Screaming Devils win defensive battle over LOA

Warren County defeated Lake Oconee Academy in a low-scoring affair last Friday night in Greensboro.The Screaming Devils’ defense held the Titans to just 114 overall yards of total offense in the 16-7 win.

Titans fall 26-10 to Washington-Wilkes

Lake Oconee Academy fell just short in its region opener against Washington-Wilkes on Oct. 3.The game remained competitive until midway through the fourth quarter, when the Titans put themselves at risk.

Titans use bye to prepare for Washington-Wilkes

Lake Oconee Academy used its bye week to prepare for its upcoming region game at Washington-Wilkes.This Friday’s game between the Titans (2-4) and Tigers (2-4) will be the region opener for both.

War Eagles tame Titans on Homecoming

Landmark Christian defeated Lake Oconee Academy 35-7 during LOA’s homecoming game on Sept. 19.The Titans’ loss to the War Eagles leaves them at 2-4 overall as region play starts Oct. 3, after the Titans’ bye week.

Titans conquer Spartans in home opener

Lake Oconee Academy had its first home game of the season on Sept. 12, hosting Glenn Hills in Greensboro.The Titans beat the Spartans 49-6 and finished the first half of the season with a 2-3 overall record.

Brentwood crushes Titans on home field

Brentwood handed Lake Oconee Academy its worst loss of the season this past week.The War Eagles of Sandersville shut out the Titans 43-0 on their home field.LOA head coach Patrick Stewart was frustrated with his team’s performance after the game.

Stembridge scores 3 TDs, leads Titans past Bulldogs for first win

Lake Oconee Academy sophomore CJ Stembridge put the team on his back this past Friday at Hancock Central.Stembridge rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on 19 attempts, leading the Titans to a 21-7 victory over the Bulldogs. The sophomore running back averaged 7.

Titans fall to GWA in rainy defensive battle

Lake Oconee Academy’s football couple faced off against George Walton Academy on the road last Friday.The Titans fell 13-6 to the Bulldogs during the rainy Friday night competition, marking their second consecutive loss following their season opener at Mount Paran Christian School.
