The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) Community Youth Chorus performed on Dec. 3 at Festival Hall in Greensboro, underscoring the shared commitment of OPAS with its surrounding community to nurturing the next generation of artists.

Next month, 9 to 5: The Musical is making its way to Greensboro and Eatonton, thanks to a joint production by the Lake Country Players (LCP) and the Plaza Alliance for the Performing Arts (PAPA).

There will be no better way for music lovers to celebrate this holiday season than with the Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) and their joyful, moving and fun holiday programs. OPAS, the premier arts organization in the Lake Oconee area, will hold its annual “fun-raiser” Soiree en Blanc & Noir Nov.

Tony Award-winning conductor Stuart Malina led a 30-piece orchestra Sept. 16 in a presentation of Broadway Sings for OPAS (Oconee Performing Arts Society), featuring musicians culled from orchestras like the Atlanta Symphony, The Augusta Symphony, The Macon Pops and The Atlanta Opera.

The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) recently was awarded two grants from Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA), a strategic arm of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, as part of its initial disbursement of grants for fiscal year 2023.
