´Beneath The Surface’: MAG displays new art from sculptor Helene Roberts

The Madison Artists Guild (MAG) held a reception last Friday evening for sculptor Helene Roberts and her “Beneath The Surface” exhibition. The display is sponsored by the DuBose Law Firm in Madison and features 3-D mixed media.

Downtown Madison businesses begin rebuilding following fires

MAD Hospitality reopened The Sinclair in downtown Madison on July 22, less than two weeks after a devastating fire on July 13, which destroyed a majority of the building’s components.

Georgia Safari celebrates one year of operation

Madison’s Georgia Safari Conservation Park (GSCP) celebrated its first anniversary in business on Monday, June 2.In honor of the milestone, the park hosted a brief ceremony featuring refreshments and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which the Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce attended.

Town Park hosts 27th annual Ride For America ceremony

Madison’s American Legion Calvin George Post 37, alongside Loganville’s Post 233, hosted the 27th annual Ride for America on Memorial Day, May 26. Three hundred motorcyclists made the trip from Loganville’s Post 233 to Madison Town Park for the ceremony.

Students celebrated at Special Olympics

On April 17, 86 students from Morgan and Greene counties participated in the Morgan County Special Olympics held at Bill Corry Stadium.The annual event kicked off with Covenant Park Church Pastor Danny Harrell leading the opening ceremony.

Popular Morgan County eatery damaged by fire

A Morgan County restaurant that has been a local favorite for more than half a century is currently closed after a fire damaged the building last weekend.According to Morgan County Fire Chief Garrett Smith, firefighters responded to a structure fire call at around 11 p.m.
