Madison teen leads deputies on high-speed chase

A Madison teenager fled from pursuing deputies at speeds of more than 130 miles per hour on April 11 before his attempt to elude the law ended in a ditch.Marcus Daniel Lee, 18, now faces a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and reckless driving.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Foundation, Inc., a new non-partisan, non-profit organization, has been established to strengthen public safety in Morgan County by leveraging the recently passed Law Enforcement Strategic Support bill.

Alabama man arrested for pound of pot

An Alabama man traveling with almost a pound of marijuana, which he said he planned to sell, was arrested by a Morgan County deputy March 27 following a traffic stop for speeding on I-20.
