Morgan County High School and Greene County High School recently hosted Homecoming games this past Friday. During halftime of each football game, each school introduced its Homecoming courts.

The Morgan County High School football team and athletics department hosted youth night this past week. More than 100 young cheerleaders, youth football players and volunteer recreational coaches lined the field Friday night at Bill Corry Stadium before the Bulldogs’ game against Monroe Area.

According to reports, a fight broke out in the home stands during the Morgan County-Social Circle football game on Sept. 15.

Morgan County High School recently hired Kelan Fraise as its new track-and-field head coach, replacing Dusty Hawkins. Regardless, Fraise spoke with the newspaper last week and said he’s excited to get to work.

The Morgan County volleyball team found itself at the pinnacle of Class 3A at the end of last season and continues to develop as a group this offseason.

After a short but thorough search, Morgan County has hired its new head baseball coach.

Morgan County’s Mason Jackson recently signed his letter of intent to be on the clay target team at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs. The recent graduate has been shooting ever since the fourth grade, and he told the Lake Oconee News how he fell in love with the sport.

Morgan County senior Shawn Morgan Jr. recently signed his letter of intent to play basketball at the next level for Montreat College in North Carolina.

Morgan County head coach Merritt Ainslie will not be returning next season after eight years at the helm.
