MCHS graduates take Senior Walk

Morgan County’s Class of 2026 took a trip down memory lane and walked the halls of their former schools on May 20 before receiving their diplomas two days later.

Morgan County High School celebrates 244 graduates

Morgan County High School held its graduation ceremony for the senior class on May 22 in the school’s competition gym. The 244 graduating seniors walked across the stage on the rainy Friday evening, with family and friends in attendance to cheer them on.

Georgia TOTY Kinsaul to lead Statewide Day of Service

Georgia 2026 Teacher of the Year Rachel Kinsaul is planning to lead a statewide Day of Service for students on March 18. The Morgan County High School agricultural science teacher is encouraging schools and districts across the state to participate in the initiative.

MCSS Class of 2025 CTAE students have 100% graduation rate

Morgan County Charter Schools recently revealed a major milestone from the class of 2025, the school district’s largest graduating class to date. The recent senior class held a 100% graduation rate among students enrolled in the school’s Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program.

Local teen to produce documentary for food pantry

Madison resident Jatavious Ward has spent the past two years running his photography and videography business, “JIT Productions,” covering various areas, including athletic events and weddings.

Morgan County FCA hosts Fields of Faith

Morgan County’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosted its annual “Fields of Faith” event on Nov. 5. The free event took place on the Morgan County High School softball field, with a large crowd of community members of all ages in attendance.

Madison Artists Guild celebrates works of MCHS students

Madison Artists Guild (MAG) is showcasing work from Morgan County students as a part of the High School’s 2025 Student Art Exhibition. The art gallery features a collection of pieces from 37 students, and will remain on display until Sept 5.

Kinsaul named Georgia Teacher of the Year

Rachel Kinsaul, an agricultural science teacher at Morgan County High School, is the 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year. State School Superintendent Richard Woods made the announcement at a banquet held May 30 at Lanier Islands to celebrate all District Teachers of the Year.
