Franklin steps down as coach of Lady Dogs

In an unexpected move, Milfred Franklin has resigned as head coach of the Morgan County girls basketball team, leaving the program in search of new leadership.Franklin has led the Lady Dogs the past four years, compiling a 79-39 overall record.

Burke scores 1,000th career point for Lady Dogs

Morgan County guard Cydney Burke has been a vital piece of the Lady Dogs’ success this season.The senior, now in her fourth year on the varsity roster, reached a major milestone by scoring her 1,000th career point during a 65–17 road win over Rutland on Jan. 13.
