Madison police officer nearly hit by fleeing vehicle

A Madison police officer was nearly hit by a car on Oct. 19 while trying to place stop sticks on I-20 in an effort to assist the Taliaferro County Sheriff’s Office with a high-speed pursuit.

Madison police officer praised for saving infant’s life

Madison Police Chief Bill Ashburn presented a Lifesaving Award to officer Mike Maxwell during the Sept. 12 city council meeting. According to Chief Ashburn, Maxwell was dispatched to a Bell Circle address in reference to a medical emergency involving a 2-week-old infant on the morning of May 2.
