Downtown Madison building to be demolished

MAD Hospitality plans on making drastic changes in the near future, involving the demolition of one of downtown Madison’s more popular buildings.MAD Hospitality’s Betty Gene’s restaurant was formerly located at 292 Hancock St., alongside neighboring units, The Sinclair, and Community Roots Market.

Community Roots Market reopens three months after downtown fire

Downtown Madison’s Community Roots Market has officially reopened to the public, resuming sales of goods from local farmers and producers.
The Sinclair in downtown Madison reopened to the community on July 22, following a fire that claimed several of the building’s adjoining businesses. The cafe was affected by intense smoke and water damage as a result of the fire. CONTRIBUTED
