Titans make history with late score

Lake Oconee Academy football is having a historical year in terms of success in its third season ever. After defeating Cherokee Christian last Friday with a late touchdown, the Titans made history, setting a program record with six wins, but they’re not done yet.

LOA crowns Homecoming King and Queen

Lake Oconee Academy hosted its third annual Homecoming football game this past Friday night. During halftime of the Titans’ game against Augusta Prep, the school named its Homecoming king and queen. D’Karrah Terrell was named Queen while Thomas Miller was crowned King.

Last week, Lake Oconee Academy was awarded the Female Directors Cup, and the overall Directors Cup was presented by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association (GADA). Titans’ athletic director Chris Ingle told the Lake Oconee News that it’s a great honor to be recognized for this award.

After being named the GHSA Class A Division II Golfer of the Year, Lake Oconee Academy’s Kallyn Black has continued to improve her golf game by participating in tournaments over the summer. In one of her most recent events, the Lady Titans’ state low-medalist qualified for the 74th U.S.
