BOE files complaint about LOA admittance

A formal complaint filed by Greene County School Superintendent Dr. Chris Houston regarding enrollment practices for new students at Lake Oconee Academy was sent to the Georgia Department of Education, Federal Programs and Special Education, and the Professional Standards Committee.

Lake Oconee Academy girls’ soccer captured the region title with a 3-2 win over Aquinas on Tuesday, March 26.The Lady Titans (6-4-2, 5-2 Class A Division II Region 8) will head into the state playoffs as a No. 1 seed.

Cybersecurity is not just for banks, big corporations, online commerce, and personal data protection. It is a real threat to schools that collect enormous data throughout the year and not just limited to a student’s name.

Lady Titans ‘clicking’ at the right time

Lake Oconee Academy’s girls' basketball team is putting it all together at the right time of the year. The Lady Titans (13-7, 6-2 Class A Division II - Region 8) have rattled off seven consecutive wins. Three of those seven wins came as a sweep of Towns County and against Warren County.
