City Council refuses Jimmy Davis Park

In a tersely written resolution, the Eatonton City Council has made it absolutely clear that they do not want Jimmy Davis Park. The park is located inside the city limits and originally belonged to the city.

City council passes resolution on Jimmy Davis Park

The Eatonton City Council Monday night took action on the future of Jimmy Davis Park. Following a closed executive session on “property acquisition,” the body voted unanimously to allow Mayor John Reid to sign a resolution relating to the rundown recreation facility in southeast Eatonton.
