‘Simple’ mission for GCFP at new location

Greene County Food Pantry (GCFP) relocated to its new building at 1220 Siloam Rd., Greensboro, last December but celebrated the milestone with a Feb. 5 ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Greene County Chamber of Commerce.The local nonprofit has been in operation since 2007.

Lake Oconee’s Saint Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital officially opened its new Upscale Thrift Store on Aug. 26. The Greene County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the same day.

Chamber hosts 2022 Awards Dinner

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual awards dinner at Festival Hall on Sept. 20. The Clayton Street Jazz Band performed throughout the evening, and the food was catered by Lamar Kersey of Kersey Catering.
