Smart: ‘We did not play well’

Top-ranked Georgia got a taste of reality Saturday on Faurot Field at Mizzou’s Memorial Stadium. The Bulldogs competed in a four-quarter clash with Missouri and came out on top with a 26-22 victory. But the Tigers led Georgia until late in the contest.

Georgia defeats Golden Flashes in ugly win

Georgia’s matchup with Kent State didn’t go as planned; however, the No. 1 Bulldogs still defeated the Golden Flashes 39-22 Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Kent State (1-3) played well and kept Georgia (4-0, 1-0 SEC) off balance in all facets of the game.

No. 1 Bulldogs prepare for Tigers in Columbia

After what some Bulldog fans may call a “lackluster” 39-22 victory over the Golden Flashes of Kent State, the Georgia Bulldogs football team (4-0, 1-0 SEC) looks ahead to its second conference game of the season. The Bulldogs will travel to Columbia, Mo.

Bennett, Bowers lead Georgia past Gamecocks in SEC opener

The pair of Stetson Bennett and Brock Bowers led No. 1 Georgia (3-0, 1-0 SEC) past South Carolina (1-2, 0-2 SEC) on Saturday. The Bulldogs dominated the Gamecocks in a 48-7 rout at Williams-Brice Stadium. Bennett finished the contest completing 16-of-23 passes for 284 yards and two TDs.

Bulldogs to face Golden Flashes after first SEC win

The No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs displayed another dominant performance last Saturday in their SEC opener against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Georgia came out firing on all cylinders and found themselves up 48-7 at the end of the game.

Offensive woes stymie Bulldogs from scoring more against Samford

Georgia’s offense struggled against FCS opponent Samford on Saturday, especially in the red zone. Despite dominating the visiting Bulldogs 33-0, the No. 2 Bulldogs felt like they underperformed.

Bulldogs shift focus to South Carolina

Top-ranked Georgia (2-0) will now shift focus to South Carolina (1-1, 0-1 SEC) after defeating FCS opponent Samford 33-0 in its home opener last Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Meanwhile, No. 10 Arkansas defeated the Gamecocks 44-30 this past weekend.

Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett is living the dream. I envy him because he accomplished something that hadn’t occurred in a long time, which was helping bring a national title back to Athens. It was a magical season. I grew up with the same dream, but obviously, I am here writing about him.
