Schmuhl instills vision for rigor, unity, and joyful learning

A new superintendent of the Greene County School System was appointed last year to lead the county with renewed focus. Dr. Aaryn Schmuhl came to the system in July of 2025, having been vetted when the former superintendent, Dr. Chris Houston, retired.

GCES reveals major student program success in BOE meeting

The Greene County Board of Education met on Feb. 12 for its second monthly meeting of 2026 and shared multiple updates from the beginning of the calendar year.

GCHS hosts Q&A with head football coaching candidates

Greene County is still searching for its next head football coach, but the process may conclude later this week.The school hosted its final two candidates for a public question-and-answer session on Monday, drawing community members, parents, and school officials, including Dr. Aaryn Schmuhl.
