LOA crowns Homecoming King and Queen

Lake Oconee Academy hosted its third annual Homecoming football game this past Friday night. During halftime of the Titans’ game against Augusta Prep, the school named its Homecoming king and queen. D’Karrah Terrell was named Queen while Thomas Miller was crowned King.

Volleyball Titans have terrific start to region play

At Lake Oconee Academy, volleyball is another program that is quickly on the rise, and it has shown why in the past month. Since August 22, the Lady Titans have only lost one match a few weeks ago to Oglethorpe County.

Greene County Recreation Department sees growth

Over the last two years, Greene County has seen a 6.5 percent increase in population with over 20,000 residents now living in the area.

Lady Titans prepare for playoff push

Since the GHSA-mandated “dead week” period at the beginning of July, the Lake Oconee Academy volleyball program has been making strides toward becoming a better team. Last season, the Lady Titans finished the regular season with a 12-15 record.

Lake Oconee Academy awarded Directors’ Cups

Last week, Lake Oconee Academy was awarded the Female Directors Cup, and the overall Directors Cup was presented by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association (GADA). Titans’ athletic director Chris Ingle told the Lake Oconee News that it’s a great honor to be recognized for this award.

Titans win state, receive All-State honors

The Lake Oconee Academy boys' golf program was recently able to follow up its impressive performance in the area tournament with dominant showings in this year’s GHSA Class A Division II state championship.

Lady Titans tee off for fifth-consecutive title

The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ golf team traveled to Thomson to play at the Belle Meade Golf Club for the GHSA Class A Division II state championship earlier this week. The Lady Titans came into the two-day event as the reigning two-time state champions and defended their title as such.

Titans secure area championship at Harbor Club

Lake Oconee Academy recently hosted its area’s GHSA Class A Division II golf tournament at Harbor Club at the beginning of last week and continued its dominance on the course.
Ingle was recently presented with awards for being the GHSA Class A Division II Region 8 Athletic Director of the Year as well as the GHSA Class A Division II State Athletic Director of the Year.
