Lake Oconee Wild Things host season opener

The Lake Oconee Wild Things kicked off their inaugural season on May 30-31, facing off against the Cartersville Canons at Lake Oconee Academy’s Titan Field.The program additionally hosted a seven-inning exhibition scrimmage on May 28 to showcase the new collegiate team.

Gatewood brings home third-straight state title trophy

The Gatewood baseball team has done it again.The Gators secured their third consecutive GIAA Class AA state championship last week, defeating the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors at Synovus Park in Columbus.

Titans rack up All-Region baseball awards

Lake Oconee Academy’s baseball team had a successful season and advanced deep in the state playoffs.After the season concluded, the Titans had nine players selected for the All-Region team.

Lewis signs to play basketball with Truett McConnell

Morgan County basketball’s Justice Lewis put pen to paper and signed to play at Truett McConnell University. Lewis inked with the Bears on May 22 during a signing ceremony.Lewis worked hard during his senior season to attract attention and receive an offer to play at the next level.

Why Greene?

Darius Robinson took a chance on himself last fall when he only signed a six-month lease in Valdosta.At the time, Robinson served as an assistant coach under Shelton Felton at Valdosta High School, one of the state’s most prestigious football programs.

Seniors leave mark on Gatewood baseball

The Gatewood baseball 2025 class certainly left its mark on the program.The Gators’ seven seniors concluded their time with the program last Saturday after winning three consecutive GIAA Class AA state championships.
