Tigers top Twiggs County for first win

Greene County had a tough start to the season, going 0-4, but got its first win this past week over Twiggs County.The Tigers (1-4) defeated the Cobras (0-5) by a score of 52-34, thanks to a strong offensive effort.

KNOXVILLE - The top 15 matchup between Georgia and Tennessee turned into an instant classic Sept. 13, as the No. 6 Bulldogs defeated the No. 15 Volunteers 44-41 in overtime.It was a game that fans of each team won’t soon forget.

'Dogs use team effort to defeat Jags

Morgan County relied on a team effort to beat Cedar Shoals 46-20 on Sept. 12 during its homecoming game.The Dogs (5-0) made plays in all three phases – offense, defense, and special teams – to dominate the Jaguars.Early on, their offense took control, scoring on their first six possessions.

Dawgs overcome offensive woes to defeat Austin Peay

Georgia defeated FCS foe Austin Peay 28-6 on Sept. 6 in a game that included a two-hour lightning delay.The Bulldogs overcame a sloppy performance on offense to beat the Governors.
