The Nathanael Greene Academy (NGA) eight-man football team doesn’t have many players, but the few it does have to enjoy the grind. Among those players is junior quarterback Mason Bear, who has been on the Patriots’ roster for the past three years.

Morgan County enters its 2022 season with a large senior class. The Bulldogs have 15 seniors returning. The MCHS class of 2022 has been through a lot since beginning their careers with the program.

FOOTBALL: 'Dogs hoping to get back to playoffs

As the 2022 high-school football season gets going, Morgan County enters its second year under the direction of head coach Clint Jenkins. The Morgan Bulldogs went through a rough patch last season and experienced some growing pains.

FOOTBALL: Saunders ready to take ‘next step’

GMC Prep quarterback Tyler Saunders is ready for the upcoming season on the gridiron. The rising senior has been a three-year starter for the Bulldogs and enters 2022 as one of their leaders. As a sophomore, Saunders helped GMC reach the playoffs for the first time in 18 years.

FOOTBALL: Bar raised for GMC Prep Bulldogs

Georgia Military College (GMC) Preparatory School enters its 2022 season with high expectations following last year’s outstanding performance. The GMC Bulldogs won the Region 7A-Public championship last year after finishing with a 10-1 record.

FOOTBALL: Redemption run for Baldwin Braves in 2022

The Baldwin High School football team has made it to the GHSA State Playoffs six years in a row, but after a disappointing first-round exit to Lagrange High School last year, the Braves return for the 2022 season looking for redemption.

FOOTBALL: Eady brothers seek perfection at JMA

Twin brothers Banks and Briggs Eady are great ambassadors for the John Milledge Academy football program. Both have been important contributors to the Trojans for the past three years and are now parts of a JMA senior class that so far has never lost a game throughout their high school careers.

FOOTBALL: Trojans seek fourth-straight state title

John Milledge Academy (JMA) in Milledgeville heads into 2022 as the reigning GISA Class AAA state champ for three years running. The Trojans have been perfect in that timespan, winning 37 straight contests under the direction of head coach J.T. Wall.
