Morgan's Locus signs to play at next level

Morgan County senior Zeki Locus has confirmed his plans and intends to continue his basketball career in-state.The Dogs’ former guard signed his letter of intent in the school’s auditorium on April 17 and is set to play at Piedmont University in Demorest.

Titans hope tough stretch pays off entering playoffs

The Lake Oconee Academy baseball didn’t get the results it wanted last week, but head coach Mark Miller believes it might have been exactly what his team needed.The Titans (16-7) dropped four straight non-region games in five days — a stretch Miller called “heck week” — against strong competition.

Morgan tennis teams win region titles

Morgan County’s boys and girls tennis teams have added another milestone to a standout spring.Both squads captured region championships and continued a run of success built this spring.For head coach Conner Perry, the achievement checked off the top priority set well before the season even began.

Morgan County’s baseball team faced Callaway last week for its final region series of the season.The Bulldogs, ranked No. 1 in Class AA, swept the Cavaliers to clinch their second straight region championship.
