Lady Titans face heartbreak in state finals

The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ basketball team (28-3, 11-1) traveled to the Macon Coliseum for the second year in a row last Wednesday to compete against Clinch County (27-4, 9-1) in the GHSA Class A Division II state championship game.

Titans back line holding strong halfway through season

After going to last year’s Class 1A Public state semifinals, the Lake Oconee Academy boys soccer team has continued to ride some of that momentum to have a productive first half of the season.

Gatewood gets two wins to even season record

The Gatewood Gators jumped out to their first hot streak of the season with two straight wins, beating Robert Toombs Christian Academy and Vidalia Heritage Academy last week to boost their season record to 3-3.

Morgan County basketball players garner All-Region honors

Morgan County recently had several boys and girls basketball players named to the All-Region 4-AAA Team. The Bulldogs had two players earn All-Region honors while two others were honorable mentions. The Lady Dogs also had several players earn All-Region honors and a few honorable mentions.

Lady Titans have successful outing in ‘Battle at the Border’

The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ golf team recently attended “The Battle at the Border” event hosted by Brookwood School to start its 2023 season. The event was held at the Green Island Country Club on the banks of the Chattahoochee River on Feb.

Lady Dogs open season with perfect record

After a disappointing loss to Cherokee Bluff in the Elite Eight round of the Class 3A state playoffs last year, Morgan County girls soccer has started out the 2023 season with an 8-0 record. The Lady Bulldogs learned a lot from that loss last year and have been on a tear as of late.

Harlem loss leaves questions for Bulldogs
