The Lake Oconee Academy volleyball team had several players earn postseason honors after the 2025 season.
The Lady Titans had three players garner All-Area recognition for their performances on the court.
“It is a great accomplishment to be recognized by 11 different teams as three of the most outstanding volleyball players in GHSA Area 8A/AA,” LOA head coach Chris Ingle recently told the Lake Oconee News. Junior setter Emma DiMascio was named to the first team. Junior outside hitter Mackenzie King and fellow junior libero Jordan Klevansky also earned postseason honors as they were selected to the second team.
DiMascio was the team’s leader in aces, while King led in kills. Klevansky had a team-high in digs.
“Emma was our leader on the court and was named first team,” Ingle said. “Mackenzie led our offense while Jordan was the center of our defense. They were both voted on to the second team. We had several girls who had outstanding years that I wish had been recognized, but we know how important they were to the team’s success. I am so proud of these amazing young women and their hard work. It’s an honor to be their coach.”
LOA made it to the Elite Eight round of the playoffs before losing to area rival and eventual state champion Oglethorpe County. The Lady Titans won a program-best 25 matches this season, compared to only seven losses.
LOA is losing only two seniors — Ava Baxendale and Bailey Pattison — in the offseason. The Lady Titans will return King, DiMascio, Klevansky, Ana Martinez-Medrano, Emi Mokan, Shelby Marullo, and others next year.
Ingle said he believes that Baxendale and Pattison help lay the groundwork for the future and is excited about next season.
“We will always be grateful for what our two seniors have given to the volleyball program,” LOA’s head coach said in November. “Their dedication and sacrifice have been amazing. The rest of the varsity 11 will return next year, including six seniors. We are already excited about getting started for next year.”
