Jean Webb Oakes, 69, of Eatonton, GA passed away on October 14, 2022. Jean was born on September 30, 1953 in Greensboro, GA to the late John Harvey Webb and Mildred Johnson Webb. She was preceded in death by her father John Harvey Webb, a brother Jeff Webb, and in-laws James “Bill” and Runette Oakes.
Jean is survived by her mother Mildred Johnson Webb of Greensboro, sister Frances Webb Alford of Greensboro, brothers Allen Webb and Timothy Webb both of Greensboro, Husband Douglas L.

(and wife Kelly Harwood) of Greensboro, Michael David Oakes (and wife April Armstrong Oakes) of Monroe, granddaughters Julie Anne Oakes, Dixie Marie Oakes, Alex Harwood, brother-in-law Claude Alford of Eatonton, sister-in-law Susan Oakes Webb of Greensboro, as well as several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Jean was a 1971 graduate of Greensboro High School. She was a former librarian, accountant and office manager, Jean retired in June of 2008.
She enjoyed living on beautiful Lake Sinclair, boating, fishing and kayaking with her husband Doug and her dachshunds. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
