Geraldine Anthony

Geraldine “Geri” Anthony, 81, of Greensboro, GA, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA.

Born in Vineland, NJ, on March 1, 1943, she was the only daughter along with two brothers of the late Carmen Charles and Dorothy Mastrogiovanni.

She graduated from Miami Jackson High School and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Anthony, on Feb. 17, 1962. He preceded her in death in December 2021 after fifty-nine years of marriage. She was a Real Estate agent and had a talent for interior decorating. 

After retiring on Sept. 1, 1999, they moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Greene County, where she has lived for the last twenty-five years.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include three sons, James “Jim” Anthony, Todd David Anthony and his wife Brun, and Charles Quinton “Chuck” Anthony and his wife Katie; daughter-in-law, Terri Anthony; ten grandchildren, Mark Anthony, Jr. and his wife Jenn, Kristen Berger and her husband Jason, Brandee Anthony, Carson Anthony, Devyn Anthony, Courtney Anthony, Haylee Herrington and her husband Hunter, Quinton Anthony, Todd Anthony, Jr., and Charlie Anthony; three great-grandchildren, Lily Berger, Colton Anthony and Lana Berger, other relatives, and friends. Her son, Mark Anthony, and brothers, Richard Mastrogiovanni and Charles Mastrogiovanni, preceded her in death.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642, with Rev.

Dr. Jimmy Long officiated. The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment followed the service at Anthony Farms Resting Place, 2696 Union Point Road, Maxeys, GA 30671.

Serving as the pallbearers were Jim Anthony, Todd Anthony, Chuck Anthony, Mark Anthony, Jr., Carson Anthony, Quinton Anthony, and Todd Anthony, Jr. The family requests that any memorials be made to Anthony Farms Resting Place, 4581 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.
