Charles (Charlie) Roy Culpepper, 84, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Charlie is survived by Mary Nell, his wife of 23 years; his brother, Ernie Culpepper (Linda) of Cordele, Georgia; son, Kevin Culpepper (Marla) of Jasper, Georgia; and daughter, Kelly Stewart of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Charlie’s six grandchildren were much loved, and he adored his two great granddaughters.
Charlie graduated from Crisp County High School in 1958 and received his B.S. degree from the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy in 1974. Charlie was a true Southern gentleman and scholar. He loved to read, travel, fish, and hunt. He was a member of Christ the King Church in Hiawassee, where he was active in the men’s Bible study and enjoyed socializing with members of the church and Pastor Charles Vensel .”

His grandson Jason said, “If I could use Paw Paw’s words to describe him, I would say ‘That dog will hunt!’”
Another grandson, Matt, stated, “Paw Paw was a man who left a positive, lasting impact on everyone he came into contact with. Truly one of a kind.”
