The SEC will host its annual football media days next week in Atlanta, from July 14 to 17, at the College Football Hall of Fame and the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park.
The Bulldogs are set to attend on Tuesday, July 15, alongside players and coaches from Auburn, Tennessee, and Texas.
Joining head coach Kirby Smart at SEC Media Days this year will be quarterback Gunner Stockton, cornerback Daylen Everette, and inside linebacker CJ Allen. Each will give several interviews during the event.
Stockton has not yet officially been named the team’s starter; however, he’s one of 11 SEC signal callers to attend the event.
Stockton was the backup for most of last season until the SEC Championship game against Texas, when Georgia starter Carson Beck got injured. Stockton stepped up to help the Bulldogs to a conference title with a 22-19 win over the Longhorns.
He next started for Georgia versus Notre Dame in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, but the team came up short. Stockton and rising redshirt freshman Ryan Puglisi have been battling for the starting quarterback job since the spring.
Everette was one of the Bulldogs’ top defensive backs as a junior last season, recording 58 tackles, three interceptions, three pass break-ups, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one sack. He was dominant in the two games against Texas, forcing a total of four turnovers in victories over the Longhorns.
Depending on his senior season results, Everette could be a first or second-round draft pick if he plays well.
Allen, a Georgia native like Stockton, is another big-time defender for the Bulldogs. As a freshman two years ago, Allen took over for starter Jamon Dumas-Johnson following an injury and locked up the position.
Allen was a starter in 2024 and Georgia’s second-leading tackler with 76 stops. He also totaled five quarterback hurries, four pass break-ups, three tackles for loss, and an interception.
