On Sunday, November 3, 2024, Linda Louise Mize Dye transitioned to her Heavenly home.
Besides her brief stay at Quiet Oaks Health Care, Linda was a lifelong resident of Greensboro, GA.
She was born July 2, 1945, to the late Walter Haron Mize and Hazel Lee Evans Mize. She worked at the local movie theater and at the family store, Mize Cash and Carry. She met Robert H.
Dye during her employment at a local textile factory, and the two were married on November 23, 1968. Linda became a homemaker and raised their two children before returning to work in a production role at Wellington Leisure in Greensboro for the next twenty years.
Linda was always an avid crafter. She spent much of her retirement doing various craft projects and pursuing her other hobby of finding bargains and treasures at local thrift stores. Her favorite thing was being a Grandmother.
Her husband, Robert H. Dye, and her parents, Hazel and Walter Haron Mize, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Robin K. Johnson and her husband Chris of Athens, GA; son, Tobey L. Dye and his wife Heather of Bairdstown, GA; brother, Jimmy W. Mize and his wife Diane of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Aiden A. Dye and Evan M. Dye of Bairdstown, GA; along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 West Broad Street, Greensboro, GA, with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. The family received friends Tuesday night, November 5, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
