‘Big River’ big success at Festival Hall

Sweeping audiences down the mighty Mississippi, “Big River, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” came to a successful close last Sunday at Festival Hall with all interpretations sold out.

Presented by The Lake Country Players and directed by Charlotte Mosteller, with choreography by Mo Brower and musical direction by Donna Valvo, “Big River” featured Ontario Williams as Jim and Tyler Stella as Huck Finn among a stellar cast.

Seasoned performers, including Rusty Faulk, Steve Pond, Drace Langford, Johnny Wagoner, Arthur Schutt, Steve Atchley, Hall Meeks, Dottie Mitchell, Zak Ralston, Anenaca Simpson, and Brower, were joined onstage by youngsters Graydon Vinson and his sister Ann Campbell Vinson, and Coltrane Chandler with his brother Idan Chandler.

Additional ensemble cast members included LaTonya Parham Thompkins, Marcus Swain, Princess Rowland, Camron Lawson, Wanda Lawson, and Ellen Marrin, with all delighting audiences at each performance.
