Classic Center presents Swan Lake in March

Swan Lake, among the most beloved ballets of all time, comes to The Classic Center on March 3, in an original new production. The one-night-only performance is part of an ongoing 2023-2024 U.S. tour for the World Ballet Series.

Brought to life by a multinational ensemble of 50 dancers, Swan Lake features vivid handpainted sets, detailed hand-crafted costumes, rich storytelling, and Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music.

The production features the original choreography of Marius Petipa, retouched by Nadezhda Kalinina. Scenic and costume designer Sergey Novikov sets the scene, with special effects and makeup designed by Irina Strukova. World Ballet Series Swan Lake is produced by Los Angeles-based Gorskaya- Hartwick Productions, led by Sasha Gorskaya and Gulya Hartwick.

Gorskaya and Hartwick have created, produced, and toured original productions of some of the world’s most cherished ballets as part of the World Ballet Series. Through their work, they aim to develop the ballet audiences of tomorrow and ensure the entire country has access to the art form.

To date, the World Ballet Series has traveled to more than 280 cities, reaching an audience of more than 250,000, many of whom are first-time attendees to a ballet.

Tickets to Swan Lake at The Classic Center in Athens range from $35 to $80 each, plus applicable fees, and are available online at ClassicCenter.com/SwanLake.
