Holt named Exchange Bank branch manager/loan officer

GREENE COUNTY

Exchange Bank President and CEO John C. Childs Jr. and the bank’s board directors recently named Carol Holt as branch manager and loan officer for their Lake Oconee branch (6081 Lake Oconee Pkwy., Greensboro).

“One of the most rewarding parts of leadership is seeing employees grow and take on new opportunities within our organization,” Childs said.

“Carol has demonstrated the knowledge, dedication, and leadership qualities we value at Exchange Bank. We’re proud to recognize her contributions with this well-deserved promotion.”

Holt brings more than 30 years of banking and mortgage lending experience to her new position. She began her banking career in 1995 with Magnolia State Bank before gaining extensive experience in mortgage lending and loan processing through positions with First Choice Mortgage, Brand Mortgage, BankSouth, and VanDyk Mortgage.

Holt initially joined Exchange Bank in 2014 as a mortgage loan processor and returned to the bank in March 2024 as branch supervisor. Her extensive industry knowledge, commitment to customer service, and experience in lending have positioned her well for this expanded leadership role.

As Lake Oconee branch manager and loan officer, Holt will oversee daily branch operations, support the bank’s lending efforts, and continue building relationships with individuals, families, and businesses throughout the Lake Oconee community.
