Indivisible will hold its fourth national “No Kings” day of protest against the Trump administration on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The national nonprofit organization is working with local citizens groups like Indivisible GA 10 to organize rallies and other actions across the nation.

For the fourth “No Kings” action, however, the focus is on pushing back against the Trump administration’s efforts to undermine the midterm elections by urging all citizens to exercise their right to vote.

“No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest,” said Barb Burt, Co-Leader of Indivisible GA 10. “Instead, October 17th will be a day of nonpartisan voter participation. We are bringing our community together to urge our neighbors to make a plan to vote early and to help people understand their options for how to vote.”

Indivisible is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that advocates for progressive laws and policies. Indivisible GA10 is the nonpartisan group of individuals across Georgia’s 10th Congressional District who work together locally in affiliation with Indivisible.

Indivisible GA10 is planning a “No Kings: Vote Early” rally in Greensboro. Organizers say people are invited to gather at the intersection of Georgia 44 and Linger Longer Road at 11 a.m. to wave signs urging voters to participate in the election and take advantage of the opportunity to make their voices heard.

Another five “No Kings” activities are scheduled in Athens, with a seventh in Madison.

There will be three locations in Athens Clarke County where people will gather in the morning and early afternoon with banners and signs with information about voting, election issues and other subjects.

The three previous “No Kings” rallies organized by Indivisible has drawn millions of Americans into the streets across the nation to stand up for democracy.

The goal this time, however, is not protest, but mobilization.
