Second Harvest will host its monthly food distribution on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8-9 a.m. or until supplies run out. The event will take place at First Methodist Church Greensboro - Lake Oconee, located at 202 West Broad Street in downtown Greensboro.
In addition to providing groceries for individuals and families in need, the Lake Oconee Humane Society will also be onsite to distribute pet food and supplies.
All community members in need are encouraged to attend. Volunteers are always welcomecome lend a hand and make a difference in the community.

Second Harvest is a signature service initiative of the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties, committed to ending hunger in our community. Since its launch in 2008, the program has grown from rescuing surplus food to organizing monthly food distributions and operating a school backpack program, which provides weekend meals to elementary school children from low-income households.
