Dorothy Sue Corry Bell, age 76, of Siloam, GA, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. Mary’ Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro. A lifelong resident of Greene County she was born January 2, 1946 the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Corry and Doris Eunice Lacey Corry. Growing up in Siloam she helped her family on the farm.
Later on she worked for the Farmers Bank as a bookkeeper. She graduated from Greensboro High School and received a degree from Massey Business College in Athens, GA. She married Tony Marvin Bell on August 26, 1966 and they made their home in Siloam. She was a lifelong member of Siloam Presbyterian Church in Siloam, GA and also attended Siloam Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed her pets, both cats and dogs.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-six years, Tony Bell; son Marvin Bell and his wife Belinda; granddaughters Kaitlin and Hannah Bell; other relatives and many good friends.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Plains Baptist Church, 1020 Main Street East, White Plains, GA 30678 with Rev.
James Bowen officiated.
Interment followed in the Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, GA 30665. Serving as pallbearers were Donnie Clements, Charles Stewart, Dock Shelnutt, Tommie Bell, Jamie Jordan and Trey Chitwood. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Corry, Andy Lacey, Billy Corry and Darrel Edwards The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at the church.
