Brown Haven Homes cuts ribbon at new location

GREENE COUNTY

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 19 to celebrate Brown Haven Homes’ new location at Lake Oconee.

The business now operates at 1060 Westend Dr. after two years in Eatonton.

The Home Design business operates branches in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, and opened its new building in May.

Brown Haven Homes Operations Leader Cooper Patton said the team is “honored” to add a new business in a rapidly growing community. He described the grand opening as a statement of the work the company has put in over the last couple of years.

“We obviously put a lot of time, effort, and money into this facility, but we want it to be a statement that we’re not just a builder that comes in and leaves,” Patton said. “We’re here to plant roots, and we’re a company that wants to be here for decades.”

According to the Chamber, Brown Haven Homes’ operations include various aspects of homebuilding services and financing. The business additionally includes work with HOA approvals, permitting, custom home design, land acquisition, and lending services.

“Brown Haven is an on-your-lot custom home builder. What sets us apart here in the market is our price point,” Patton said. “So, 14 days before we break ground on your home, your price will not change, no matter what the market does, no matter what happens in the world.”

Patton said the branch’s former Eatonton location operated in a smaller space under a lease while the new building was under construction. He said the relocation process took longer than initially planned, and he is happy to see the result finally operational.

“[Opening this space] took a little bit more time and effort than we were expecting, but that’s all part of [the process],” Patton said.

Overall, Patton said he is looking forward to operating in the new location and hopes they can do so for many years to come.

“From the sales aspect, to the design, to all of the construction, our office is a one-stop shop,” Patton said. “This is a place that we can call home for the next 50 to 60 years.”
