Main Street Madison hosted its annual spring festival, Madfest, on April 25 in the town park.
The free event is one of the city’s more popular recurring festivals and takes place each April, with numerous vendors, food trucks, and live music on the park’s lawn and throughout the surrounding area.
The event is highly popular among residents, with vendors selling a variety of plants, baked goods, and artistic creations. Inside the courtyard, many local and statewide vendors lined the lawn with their wares and conversed with passing visitors.
Thousands of local and visiting visitors of all ages attended the Saturday afternoon event and brought their canine friends to stroll through the park with them. The occasion included several opportunities for children to enjoy the afternoon, including a petting zoo and face painting, which were the most popular activities among the younger visitors.
Multiple nonprofit organizations attended the downtown event, including the Humane Society of Morgan County. The organization also brought multiple dogs available for adoption and kittens that will be available in the near future.
