Lake Oconee Academy recently held its Fall 2025 Homecoming Week, featuring a parade, door decorating contests, and the presentation of the 2025 Homecoming Court.
Earlier this year, LOA designed shirts for September’s National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month to honor the late Dr. Beverly Montgomery, the former LOA middle and upper school director who passed away weeks before the game.
Staff, students, and other community members wore the T-shirts to all varsity home games throughout the week. The school made plans to exhibit the shirts for Homecoming Week early in the school year.
LOA presented its 2025 homecoming court during halftime for the Titans’ matchup with Landmark Christian Academy on Sept. 19. The presentation included 28 students, with 12 seniors in the running for this year’s homecoming king and queen.
Brenlee Brown and Corrian Jernigan received the honors of 2025 Homecoming king and queen, crowned by their predecessors, Thea Smith and Kaleb Mathis. Next year, Brown plans to attend Georgia College & State University to study mass communication, and Jernigan intends to join the U.S. Navy.
The halftime presentation included a memorial for Montgomery, where her daughter, Emily Montgomery, participated in the crowning of the 2025 homecoming queen, alongside Thea Smith.
