Electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian will delay indefinitely plans to build a $5 billion EV plant east of Atlanta, the company announced Thursday.Instead, Rivian initially will begin building its new R2 midsize SUV model at its plant in Normal, Ill.

Greensboro council rejects city manager candidate

On a 3-2 vote, Greensboro City Council Monday night rejected its first candidate for the open city manager position. Previous City Manager Jarvis Sims resigned under fire effective Jan. 31, so the city has been without a manager since then.
