PJ’s Coffee holds grand reopening with new owners

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce recognized Lake Oconee’s PJ’s Coffee with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 16. The coffee shop is now under new ownership and is working to bring some changes to the business.

Chase, manhunt end with two suspects captured in Putnam County

Two men are in jail after a high-speed chase and search that lasted more than eight hours ended under a residential trailer on May 16, authorities say.“It was one of those good days,” said Putnam County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Col. Russell Blenk.

Authors study the influence of Andalusia on O’Connor’s works

Last Thursday, two veterans of the 2023 Flannery O’Connor Summer Institute at Georgia College gave a Zoom presentation about Flannery O'Connor and Andalusia Farm in Milledgeville.The presenters were Ashley Massey and Timothy R. Vande Brake.

Greensboro struggles to pick city manager; Hayes vote pending

Monday night, Greensboro City Council is expected to hire Autron Hayes as its new city manager. Hayes has been the city manager of Sylvester, a city of about 6,100 people in southwest Georgia. He will be paid $105,000 annually.

Car crashes into tree, catches fire

A car filled with seven people crashed into a tree recently, and miraculously, no one was injured, Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell said.
