Distracted driver hits patrol units on I-20

Greensboro City Council taking time on hiring city manager

There is still no official Greensboro city manager. Mayor Corey Williams nominated Sylvester city manager Autron Hayes for the position at the May 6 council meeting. In a split 3-2 vote, the city council supported the mayor’s nomination.It was expected to become official at Monday’s meeting.

Hwy. 44 conversation dominates legislative breakfast

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Legislative Update Breakfast on May 14 at Atlas Ministry in Greensboro. The event informed attendees of recent changes made within the state legislature, including those that may affect Greene County.

Multi-agency drug investigation seizes weapons and narcotics
