MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICETony Arness Jacobs, 56, of Madison, was arrested on June 6 and charged with driving while their license was suspended.Miriam Cruz Salas, 32, of Madison, was arrested on June 8 and charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

Ware announces retirement from GCSS; Wilkes named new CFO

The Greene County School System’s longtime Chief Financial Officer, Dean Ware, has retired after 17 years with the district. Previous Assistant CFO Connie Wilkes has been named the new interim GCSS CFO.

Thillen Foundation awards $182,000 to 2024 GCHS graduates

At Honors Night on May 20, every graduating senior who participated in the career coaching program at Greene County High School received a share of $182,000 in earned financial assistance awarded by the Thillen Education Foundation (TEF).There were 83 participants in the program.

MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENTA Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Morgan Drive address on May 22 regarding the theft of a pistol. The complainant said he returned from out of town and discovered the missing pistol from a truck he had left locked in the garage. No forced entry was found.
