South Carolina woman arrested after two-county chase

GREENE COUNTY

A Greene County deputy and Georgia State Patrol Trooper teamed up to stop a reckless driver fleeing from a traffic stop June 10.

As a result, Sharron R. Miller-Allen, 47, of Graniteville, S.C., is being charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, following too closely, improper display of license plate, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless driving, a window tint violation and failure to maintain lane, According to reports, Deputy Leo Sierra was attempting to conduct a traffic stop on I-20 eastbound near milepost 136.5 on a vehicle following another too closely and that may have had a window tint issue. The license plate was also obscured by a tinted tag cover.

Before Sierra activated his emergency lights, the driver – later identified at Miller-Allen – pulled onto the shoulder of the road but abruptly pulled back onto the interstate and accelerated.
