A White Plains man was obliterated in Winder on April 14, according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.
Forty-year-old Casey Watts of White Plains was found unconscious and not breathing by deputies after a resident reported that Watts pulled up to his home and said he had been beaten and robbed.
Deputies performed CPR on Watts upon arrival, but he was later taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Six residents of Winder, five of them between the ages of 17 and 21, were arrested and charged with murder, according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the incident happened at 1651 White Oak Way, an address less than half a mile away from where Watts was found. The following people were arrested at the scene:

• Robert Arnold, 20
• Michavius Mayweather, 20
• Antrevion Gary-Hill, 17
• Jamarion Lewis, 21
All six are being held in the Barrow County Detention Center and are charged with murder, aggravated assault, and party to a crime.
Bystanders told deputies that Watts was pulled into the garage at 1651 White Oak Way by several people. A witness pointed out a black Dodge Challenger that was allegedly driven by one of the suspects. Investigators soon located five more suspects. Friends and family reacted to Watts’ death on social media platforms.

A fundraiser was held at B&M BBQ in Siloam on April 18 to help cover funeral costs.
