The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office recently announced the launch of MySheriff, a new mobile app built with one goal in mind: keeping the people of Morgan County connected to their sheriff’s office and to one another.
The new app gives residents another way to stay informed, speak up, and help keep Morgan County the safe, close-knit community residents rely upon.
With MySheriff, Morgan County residents can:
• Send Anonymous Crime Tips: See something that doesn’t look right? Send a tip directly to the Sheriff’s Office. You can include photos or videos and remain anonymous.
• Get Important Local Alerts: Receive timely information about emergencies, traffic issues, severe weather and events happening right here in Morgan County.
• Find Helpful Resources: Quickly access safety information, crime prevention tips, important phone numbers, and other resources from the Sheriff’s Office. • Stay Connected to Morgan County: Keep up with what’s happening in your community and share concerns that can help deputies better serve the people of Morgan County.
Sheriff Tyler Hooks said the app is another tool to strengthen the relationship between the sheriff’s office and the community.
“Morgan County is home,” Hooks said. “We know that when something happens here, our people care about their neighbors and they want to help. MySheriff gives folks another direct way to communicate with us, stay informed and be part of keeping Morgan County safe.
“We want our citizens involved and we want them to know they have a direct line to us. When we work together, we make Morgan County safer.”
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office believes public safety works best when law enforcement and the community work together. MCSO deputies can’t be everywhere, but together, citizens and the sheriff’s office can make a difference everywhere in Morgan County.
