A Morgan County man was killed June 24 when his tractor overturned after he drove it into a ditch, according to reports.
Oscar Williams, 64, of a Pierce Dairy Road address, was taken to Morgan Medical Center after a passerby saw him trapped under the tractor and used his Toyota truck and a chain to get the tractor off of him.
Williams later died at Morgan Medical Center.
According to a Georgia State Patrol investigation, the tractor drove into a ditch near the property, rolled over, and came to rest upside down.
“Medical professionals believed [Williams] was in distress due to a medical emergency and therefore was not in control of [the tractor] at the time of the crash,” according to the report obtained from the GSP. “Due to the lack of visible trauma to Williams, pre-existing health issues, and the hot weather, it is believed the crash did not cause his death.”
