Greene County deputies arrested Darius Brown, 43, of Greensboro, on murder charges Sept. 27 after a shooting in Greensboro.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to 3031 Union Point Hwy. at approximately 4 p.m. in reference to someone being shot. When deputies and an officer from the Greensboro Police Department arrived, Brown was taken into custody. The victim, identified as Crispus Terrell, 48, also of Greensboro, had multiple gunshots wounds, according to the GCSO.
Deputies rendered aid and life saving measures at the scene in an attempt to save Terrell’s life, but Terrell succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Terrell was shot multiple times by Brown.
Brown is being held at the Greene County jail on charges of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
