MORGAN COUNTY
Morgan County deputies arrested a woman on May 16 after authorities say she stole a tractor, passed out inside a man’s home, and later got into a wrestling match with another woman.
Candees Alexis Hadley, 35, of Laton, is charged with theft by taking and criminal property damage.
According to reports, deputies Black Rowe and Patrick Gibson were dispatched to a Pierce Dairy Road address around 4 a.m. on May 16, where they met with a man and woman who lived in the area.
The man told deputies Hadley came to the residence, took a tractor and drove it through nearby fields before returning and doing donuts in his yard.
According to the woman, Hadley later drove the tractor into a tree at her residence, damaging the tractor’s front end, muffler, roof, and rear end.
The man told deputies he left his home to see what was happening and returned to find Hadley passed out on the floor, according to the report.
After waking her and telling her to leave, Hadley reportedly fled into the woods along Pierce Dairy Road.
While Rowe and Gibson searched for Hadley, dispatch informed them that she had shown up at another residence on Pierce Dairy Road.
When deputies arrived, they reportedly heard two women screaming as they approached the door. Upon entering the home, deputies found Hadley on the floor wrestling with another woman.
According to the report, Gibson eventually gained control of Hadley, who was screaming and crying.
Hadley was then escorted to a patrol vehicle and transported to jail.
