The fifth annual ArtiGras Carnival, a Mardi Gras-themed fundraiser for the arts in Eatonton, returned to town Saturday night.

Harbor Club residents medal at Macon Love Tournament

Two Harbor Club residents won gold and silver at the world’s largest Valentine's Day pickleball tournament over the weekend of Feb. 14-16 in Macon, which boasts the largest indoor pickleball facility.

The Greene Chamber of Commerce recently held the grand opening of Lake Country Books & Gifts, a charming new bookstore located at 109 Harmony Crossing, Ste. 5, in the Harmony Crossing Shopping Center. Owners Tammy and Ted Callaway have created a cozy haven for book enthusiasts.

Greensboro hosts Mayor’s Gala to benefit nonprofits

Greensboro Mayor Corey Williams and his wife hosted the inaugural Mayor’s Gala Saturday evening at Festival Hall.This black-tie event was an evening affair celebrating community, philanthropy, and sophistication. It benefitted the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club and Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

Greensboro residents celebrate Eagles’ Super Bowl victory

For Greensboro residents Nancy Simon and Bonnie Snider, the Philadelphia Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl was extra special.Simon and Snider met during the 1980 NFL season when they were both cheerleaders for the Eagles.

Saddle up and give back with Kel-Mac

Now 49 years old, Kel-Mac is the longest-running saddle club in Georgia. It annually features four fund-raising family and beginner-friendly horse shows, monthly trail rides and camping trips, and equine educational meetings and workshops.This year’s shows are scheduled for April 12, May 17, Sept.

Jazz Legacy Project opens 2025 series

The Jazz Legacy Project kicked off its 2025 series last Thursday evening at Greensboro’s Festival Hall, featuring “Sarah Vaughan, The Divine One.” Guest vocalist and actress Maria Howell captivated a large audience with her beautiful harmonies and rhythm as she sang Vaughan's music.

Heart and Soul Gala glitters at Ritz-Carlton

The 2025 Heart and Soul Gala, held Feb. 15 at The Ritz-Carlton ballroom, was an unmitigated success, raising more than $800,000 to benefit St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro.
