Greene County hosts 2025 Homecoming festivities

Greene County High School celebrated Homecoming Week Oct. 13-17 with multiple festivities, including the annual parade, dress-up days, and painting the senior rock. The school presented its 2025 Homecoming Court Oct. 17 during halftime of the Tigers’ regional matchup with Washington-Wilkes.

Main Street Madison hosted its 19th annual Downtown Chili Cookoff and Fall Festival on Oct. 11 at Madison Town Park, featuring a marketplace, live music, food vendors, and many children’s activities.The event was free to the public, with attendees from throughout Morgan County.

Weinberger’s Furniture & Mattress Showcase, a 90-year-old business with locations in Greensboro and Augusta, celebrated September as its 2025 Customer Appreciation Month. To commemorate the occasion, the company donated 5% of its sales on Sept. 13 and 26 to the cities’ Habitat for Humanity chapters.
