Greene County Family Connections held its 2nd annual Greene County Well-Being Summit on May 20 at Lakeside Church.
The summit highlighted resources, services, and programs available throughout the community that support and improve the lives of children and families in Greene County.
The event brought together community leaders, nonprofit organizations, educators, healthcare professionals, and local partners for a day of learning, collaboration, and networking. Attendees heard from a variety of speakers and connected with local vendors and organizations dedicated to strengthening family well-being throughout the county.
Featured speakers included Gaye Smith, Executive Director of Georgia Family Connection Partnership; Dave Ringer, CEO of Oconee Valley Healthcare; Leslie Vestal and Karolina Klinker of Reach Out and Read; Dr. Aaryn Schmuhl, Superintendent of Greene County School System; John Noto, Lake Oconee Academy; Mike Sleeth, St. Vincent de Paul & Homeless and Housing Strategy Team Chair; and Judy Sandwick and Jennifer Strawn of Circle Ranch.
Speakers emphasized the importance of working together to ensure that Greene County families have access to the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
The Greene County Well-Being Summit serves as an importance platform for building connections, sharing resources, and fostering solutions that positively impact the overall well-being of the community.
