On Sept. 14, Compassion Café founder and owner Lisa Tubbs officially sold the business and its assets to Alli and Christian Jaggie.
“From the very beginning, I prayed that Compassion Café would be a place where everyone felt welcome – a place to gather, laugh, pray, build friendships, and simply love on our community,” Tubbs said. “When it came time to consider selling, it was incredibly important to me that whoever took over understood that Compassion was more than a business. Alli and Christian do.”
The Jaggies are already part of the Compassion Café family. Alli’s Luke & Jack gluten-free cookies have become a familiar favorite at the café, and their relationship with Tubbs and Compassion Café has grown well beyond that of simply being a vendor.
Under Alli and Christian’s ownership, customers can expect the Compassion Café they already know and love. The café’s mission will remain the same, along with its commitment to supporting local vendors, creating opportunities for community connection, and providing a welcoming place for everyone who walks through the doors.
“Our vendors have become our friends, our customers have become family, and this community has supported us in ways I could never adequately put into words,” Tubbs said. “I am incredibly grateful for every cup of coffee purchased, every prayer prayed, every gathering held, and every friendship formed inside these walls.”
