Former Putnam County football player Gerald Kilgore has found his next college home at South Carolina. The 6-foot-1, 202-pound defensive back will enroll at South Carolina next semester with three years of eligibility remaining after redshirting and playing just one season at Tennessee Tech.
Kilgore is tied for the team’s most tackles with 18 through two games.

Putnam County seniors Jalon Kilgore and Tamarion Peters rushed for over 300 yards and three TDs in a 26-13 win over Washington County during a Thursday night tilt. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but a referee shortage in the GHSA moved it up a day.

Eatonton, Ga. — Putnam County’s Jalon Kilgore has made his college decision.  The 6-foot-2, 195-pound safety committed to the University of South Carolina on Wednesday. According to the 247Sports Composite, Kilgore is ranked the No. 442 overall player and the No. 43 safety.
